Summary:
Introduction: 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) is an important anti-cancer drug that is used to treat various types of cancer such as breast, lung, head and neck, skin, and gastrointestinal cancers. Various strategies have been developed to increase the effectiveness of 5-FU, such as combination therapy with enzyme modulators and the creation of uracil derivatives. Innovative delivery systems using chemicals, medicinal plant raw materials and nanoparticles as nodes in the organometallic framework are playing an increasingly important role in the creation of new dosage forms.
Objective: of this article is to develop a mild dosage form of 5-FU, with meitaki mushrooms and nano silver particles.
Materials and methods: The methods of spectrophotometry and scanning electron microscopy were used in the work. The objects of the study were fluorouracil, meitaki mushroom, silver nanoparticles and auxiliary substances.
Results: The paper describes the process of "green" synthesis of silver nanoparticles using an extract from Meitake mushrooms, and develops a technology for manufacturing nanoparticles. Discussions: the structure of silver nanoparticles obtained by "green" synthesis was proved by scanning spectroscopy and ranged from 50 to 100 nm. The mild dosage form was created on the basis of 5-FU, meitaki mushroom extract and nanoparticles. The technological scheme included the stages of creating nanoparticles as the basis of an organometallic framework. The quantitative content of the active substance (5-FU) in a mild dosage form was carried out by the spectrophotometric method and corresponded to 5%. Metrological characteristics were studied.
Conclusions: A mild dosage form based on 5-fluorouracil with nanoparticles has been developed.
Keywords 5-fluorouracil, mild dosage form, nanoparticles, Maitaki mushrooms
