Introduction. The staffing of medical organizations in the field of obstetrics and gynecology plays an important role in achieving the national goal of preserving the population, health, and well-being of people, as well as supporting families. It has a significant impact on the availability and quality of medical care for the population. Тhe purpose of the study.To assess the dynamics of staffing by obstetrician-gynecologists providing medical care in the field of obstetrics and gynecology in the Russian Federation, the North Caucasus Federal District, and the Stavropol Territory for the period from 2013 to 2023. Materials and methods. The statistical forms of FSN No. 30 for 2013-2023, the databases of Rosstat, the Ministry of Health of the Stavropol Territory on the number of female population for the period from 2013 to 2023 were analyzed. Statistical data processing was carried out using SPSSv26.0. The following methods were used in the study: analytical, statistical, and comparative. Results.The analysis conducted for the period from 2013 to 2023 demonstrates a decrease in the availability of obstetrician-gynecologists in the Russian Federation. The staffing levels of obstetrician-gynecologists in the Stavropol Territory have a negative trend compared to the same levels in the North Caucasus Federal District and the Russian Federation. The rate of part-time work is slightly higher than the national average. The North Caucasus Federal District has the most favorable situation in terms of staffing of full-time positions by individuals and positions of obstetrician-gynecologists. Discussion and conclusions.To create a positive image of the "obstetrics and gynecology" profession in the Stavropol Territory, the advantages of working in the region, opportunities for professional growth and development, and salaries should be actively promoted.
