Relevance. Circulatory system diseases (CSD) continue to be the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in the world, occupying a central place in the structure of the global burden of disease. Objective. To assess the risk factors for the development of circulatory system diseases among medical students. Materials and Methods. The study was conducted by questionnaire survey of 3-4 year students of Izhevsk State Medical Academy. The methods of descriptive statistics, calculation of mean values and frequency characteristics were used in the work. Correlation analysis was additionally used to identify relationships between students' lifestyles and the presence of risk factors for circulatory system diseases. The primary material was processed using Microsoft Excel 2013 program. Results. Medical students are a specific cohort group with a high level of educational and psychoemotional stress. In this regard, we conducted a questionnaire survey of 3-4 year students of the Izhevsk State Medical Academy to identify key aspects of lifestyle, including physical activity, sleep patterns, nutrition, stress levels and the presence of bad habits. The obtained results indicate a significant influence of chronic sleep deprivation, low physical activity, unbalanced diet and high stress level on the formation of preconditions for the development of diseases of the circulatory system. The identified patterns emphasize the critical need for a comprehensive approach to the development of preventive programs aimed at improving the health of students and the formation of sustainable habits. Conclusion. Due to insufficient awareness of disease prevention, the studied group of students ignores the first signs of health deterioration. All this creates the need to revise educational programs aimed at increasing students' commitment to healthy eating, disease prevention and stress management skills. The work has an important preventive and socio-economic significance, providing a scientific basis for optimizing educational and medical practice, as well as improving the quality of training of future health professionals.
