ANALYSIS OF THE ACTIVITIES OF CHILDREN'S DAY HOSPITALS IN THE IVANOVO REGION FROM 2019 TO 2023

Summary:
Relevance. The State health policy in the Russian Federation is aimed at preserving and improving children's health, which is directly reflected in the programs adopted and implemented in the country and serving to promote children's health. Day hospitals for children are part of the structures of medical facilities that provide medical and sanitary care for children with diseases and conditions that do not require round-the-clock monitoring. This form of work plays a leading role in achieving the goal of improving children's health and the life expectancy of the general population. Purpose. To study main trends in the dynamics of performance indicators among children's day hospitals of medical facilities in the Ivanovo region from 2019 to 2023. Sources and research methods. The source of the information was Form 14 DS "Information on the activities of day hospitals of medical facilities" from 2019 to 2023 in the Ivanovo region. Research methods: statistical and analytical. The object of the study was children's day hospitals of medical facilities, the subject of the study was their activities. Results of the study. An analysis of the work of children's day hospitals in the Ivanovo region over a 5-year period showed that there were 15 to 17 day hospitals in the period under study, the number of beds in them varied slightly from 323 to 335 over the years. According to the classes of diseases in children, respiratory diseases occupied the first place, diseases of the nervous system took the second place, and diseases of the digestive system took the third place. Children with mental disorders and behavioral disorders had the longest duration of patient days. Conclusions. During the analyzed period, 32132 children were discharged from children's day hospitals. Diseases of the respiratory system accounted for the largest number of children by nosology, diseases of the nervous system occupied the second place, and diseases of the digestive system took the third place. Children's day hospitals allow for more efficient use of bed stock and medical equipment in round-the-clock inpatient facilities. This form of organization of medical care can significantly increase the availability of inpatient care for children.
