Introduction. Targeted training of physicians is a key mechanism for workforce planning in healthcare. However, the effectiveness of this tool is determined not only by the contract but also by the quality of student support throughout the entire training period. The long interval between contract signing and professional entry into the workplace highlights the need to identify controllable factors associated with decreased graduate commitment to fulfilling contractual obligations. Objective. To identify and evaluate factors influencing the motivation of medical university graduates who completed targeted training to seek employment in healthcare organizations. Materials and Methods. A cross-sectional, single-site survey was conducted among 151 sixth-year students in the general medicine (64.2%) and pediatrics (35.8%) departments of the Chita State Medical Academy. Inclusion criterion was the presence of a valid targeted training contract. Data was collected using an electronic questionnaire consisting of 58 questions grouped into nine thematic blocks.
