PROSPECTS FOR DEVELOPING RESEARCH COMPETENCES IN NURSES WHILE STUDING IN MASTER'S DEGREE PROGRAMS IN PUBLIC HEALTHCARE

Summary:
Introduction (Relevance). Today, there is a growing demand for mid-level specialists in practical healthcare, specifically in advanced nursing. Master's degree programs in nursing provide a scientific foundation for strengthening nursing education and developing the advanced nursing system as a whole. Bachelor's degree graduates and certified specialists continue their education in the master's program. One of the main objectives of the master's program in preparing future professionals is to develop analytical, consulting, research, and teaching skills.
Objective. To analyze scientific research in nursing, its practical significance, and improve the quality of nursing practice in healthcare.
Materials and Methods. To review scientific literature by Russian and international authors.
Results. Scientific research in nursing practice enables the provision of the most effective nursing care. Patients and their families note the timeliness and accessibility of information on patient care, which contributes to the effective restoration of impaired needs.
Discussion. Future specialists will be practice-oriented toward patients and their families, providing nursing care based on evidence-based nursing practice.
Conclusions. A new vector of professional training for future nursing specialists is emerging, based on a scientific foundation, following the hierarchy of professional education: bachelor's and master's degrees.
