Introduction. Experience in combating with coronavirus infection has shown the need for ongoing analysis and assessment of staffing of epidemiologists within medical organizations, which will facilitate the timely identification of problems with the ongoing risks of biological threats and will make it easier to find a solution to them. The purpose of the study. To analyze the staffing of epidemiologists in healthcare organizations in Moscow for the period 2019-2024 and compared to those in Central Federal District and Russian Federation. Materials and Methods. The study used data from Form FSN No. 30 for Moscow, the Central Federal District, and the Russian Federation, as well as state reports from the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) of the Russian Federation and Moscow (Form FSN No. 2) for the period 2019-2024. The research utilized analytical, statistical, and comparative methods. Results. The period from 2019 to 2024 saw the highest increase in the number of epidemiologists in Moscow (+13,64%). The staffing rate of these specialists with individuals in Moscow (73,4%±4,8, p=0,07) was significantly higher (ps with physical persons, it is proposed to introduce amendments to certain regulatory legal acts and to enhance the attractiveness of the epidemiologist profession within the framework of personnel policy.
