Introduction. The formation of a healthy lifestyle of students is one of the priorities of higher education. Modern research shows that foreign medical students are exposed to multiple stressful factors: language barrier, cultural adaptation, high academic loads, and social isolation. Insufficient knowledge of the culturally specific features of the attitude of foreign medical students to health and preventive behavior makes it difficult to develop effective programs for medical and social support for this category of students, which necessitates targeted research in this area.
Purpose of the study. To determine the peculiarities of the attitude of foreign students of the medical university to a healthy lifestyle and to identify the prevalence of bad habits in this group. Tasks are set to achieve the goal: 1) to characterize the level of awareness of foreign students about a healthy lifestyle; 2) to determine the prevalence of bad habits; 3) to identify the factors influencing the formation of these attitudes.

The majority of students (64.7%) were satisfied with their lives. 70.8% of the survey participants positively assessed their health. According to the students, the main positions of healthy lifestyle were proper nutrition (83.4 per 100 respondents reported), personal hygiene (79.4), positive emotions (70.0). The survey showed that the vast majority (87.2%) of respondents believe that their educational institution has created conditions for physical education and sports. At the time of the survey, only 1.6% smoked, 2.2% smoked and quit, and 96.2% of respondents did not smoke at all.
