Summary:
Relevance. One of the main objectives of healthcare development is to create conditions for increasing the availability and quality of medical care, including for rural populations. As of January 1, 2024, the rural population in the Russian Federation was approximately 36.6 million people, accounting for 25.1% of the total population. Rural areas play an important role in the country's development, especially in the context of globalization. The development of agriculture ensures food security and a saturated domestic market. In the sustainable development of rural areas, which ensures a stable standard of living for the rural population, the organization of medical care in rural areas, especially in small and remote settlements, plays an important role. In the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated October 9, 2019, No. 1304, it is noted that one of the main directions for modernizing the primary healthcare system is to ensure the availability and quality of primary medical care in rural areas. Objective. To analyze the visits of rural residents to medical staff in the federal districts and across the country in 2021-2023. Materials and methods. The article analyzed tables No. 2101 and No. 7000 of the reporting form of statistical observation No. 30 "Information about a medical organization". Statistical information was processed using the Medstat system. Research results. The number of visits by rural residents to medical staff in the Russian Federation increased by 3.1% in 2021-2023. In the structure of visits to secondary medical personnel by rural residents, the first place (72.6%) is occupied by visits to secondary medical personnel by rural residents on medical stations/medical and obstetric stations , the second - by visits to secondary medical personnel by rural residents in outpatient clinics (10.4%), the third - by visits to secondary medical personnel at points (departments, offices) of emergency medical care (3.3%), the fourth was visits to the nursing staff of mobile medical teams (0.53%). Despite the increase in the share of visits by rural residents to mobile medical facilities (from 2.4% in 2021 to 3.8% in 2023) and mobile medical outpatient facilities (from 0.3% to 0.76%), the share of such visits remains insignificant. Number of visits by rural residents to mobile medical facilities and medical outpatient facilities per rural resident in 2021-2023 Conclusions. Given the increased workload on medical staff in providing primary health care to the population, it is necessary to develop and widely implement the use of telemedicine technologies in the daily practice of medical organizations located in rural areas. At the same time, improving the material and technical equipment of medical and obstetric stationss, especially with modern medical equipment, will increase the availability of medical care for rural residents.
