Conduction. Medical organizations operating in 24-hour conditions are an important component of the healthcare system and at the same time the most economically expensive. Indicators of bed utilization are considered relevant for assessing the effectiveness of the development of inpatient care. Goal. To analyze the main indicators of the activities of a multidisciplinary hospital in the Astrakhan region and evaluate the efficiency of using its bed capacity. Materials and methods. Federal statistical observation forms № 14 and № 30. Data from the medical information system of the regional clinical hospital for the period 2019-2023. Modern general scientific methods were used: statistical, analytical, systemic and comparative analysis. Results. In the regional clinical hospital, the bed capacity decreased by 8.0%, which resulted in a decrease in the number of patients treated by 7.1%. The duration of treatment in the hospital was reduced to 8.5 bed days. Bed turnover increased to 37.7 patients. The predominant population was female, about 50.0% were able-bodied. Hospitalization outcomes such as improvement and recovery accounted for a greater share (57.8% and 36.8%). The average five-year in-hospital mortality rate was 3.07±0.6%. Discussion. The main performance indicators of inpatient medical organizations with round-the-clock stay tend to decrease both in the Russian Federation as a whole and in the Astrakhan region, which is confirmed by the results of the study. Conclusion. The reduction in hospital bed capacity has led to the efficient use of remaining capacity, which is reflected in a decrease in bed performance indicators such as occupancy and average duration of treatment, against the backdrop of a slight but still increase in bed turnover. At the same time, there was an increase in hospital mortality, which is primarily due to the predominance of hospitalizations for emergency reasons.
