CAPABILITIES OF THE ANALYTICAL PLATFORM IN THE FIELD OF MODELLING QUANTITATIVE PARAMETERS OF RETAIL PHARMACY FUNCTIONING

Summary:
Introduction. Improvement of the efficiency of current business process management in pharmaceutical retailing, especially in the digital economy, is impossible without the introduction of business intelligence technologies that allow processing significant amounts of commercial information, promptly responding to changes in the market environment, taking fluctuations in supply and demand into account, as well as forecasting the volume of purchases and deliveries. Until February 2022, the leadership in the domestic market of business analytics software was held by American vendors Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, which have now made their products unavailable for Russian companies, including pharmaceutical companies. Loginom, an analytical platform created by Russian specialists, can serve as an optimal solution in the current situation for pharmaceutical retail. The analytical platform under consideration is an innovative software developed for data analysis and automation of business processes. The analytics platform provides a wide range of tools and functions that allow users to efficiently process and analyze large amounts of data, create and optimize models, and automate routine tasks. The analytics platform has a simple and intuitive interface, making it accessible to both experienced analysts and general users, which include pharmaceutical professionals.
The aim of the work was to reveal the capabilities of the domestic analytical platform and to develop a scenario for modelling quantitative parameters of functioning.
Materials and Methods. The research was based on the fundamental principle of the analytical platform, namely the formulation of a scenario that facilitates data processing. The publicly available database, ‘Retail Transaction Dataset’, was used as the initial data ensuring the achievement of the research goal and not allowing the disclosure of commercial secrets. Utilizing this basis, a model of the process of pharmacy goods sales was created, with the volume over 54000 records (lines), which made it possible to create a situation very close to the real activity of a pharmaceutical organization.
Results. The developed scenario of the pharmaceutical retail business process characterization model generated information for analysis in the study, which included the amount of sales for each type of product, as well as data cleaning.
Discussion. The characteristics of the business process of pharmaceutical sales obtained during the study are presented in two formats - monetary and physical. The findings of the study indicate a strong correlation between sales volumes and inventory level, suggesting that retail prices remain stable during the study period.
Conclusion. The most salient feature of the application of the analytical platform is the utilization of initial ‘raw’ data that necessitates cleaning and the possibility of solving a variety of problems by taking into account the particularities of pharmaceutical retailing.
