Summary:
In this article, the authors determined the number of monocytes with interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) receptors and the number of tuberculin-binding monocytes, their phenotypes, as well as the serum concentration of IFN-γ (serum ELISA) in newly diagnosed adult patients with common forms of pulmonary tuberculosis. The results indicate a deficit of the IFN-γ system in patients with common forms of pulmonary tuberculosis due to a violation of the functional activity of IFN-γ receptors on monocytes. It was found that immunological disorders are more pronounced in patients with disseminated tuberculosis and in patients with multiple drug resistance (MDR) of mycobacterium tuberculosis. The total number of tuberculin-binding monocytes and tuberculin-binding monocytes of varying degrees of CD14 expression in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis is significantly higher than in healthy individuals, regardless of the drug resistance of mycobacteria and the clinical form of tuberculosis.
Keywords tuberculosis, monocytes with receptors for interferon-gamma, interferon-gamma, tuberculin-binding monocytes
